Worship at Ascension at 10 a.m.

 Palm Procession/Reading of Jesus' Passion According to Luke, and Holy Communion

 

Passion Sunday Cantata at Ascension, 4:30 p.m.

Please join us for a performance of M. J. Trotta’s Seven Last Words on Passion Sunday, March 29, 4:30 p.m. at Ascension. The combined choirs of Ascension and St. James the Less Episcopal Church, Northfield, will perform this dramatic and moving cantata as the opening to Holy Week. This beautiful cantata is free and open to the public.

 

Holy Week

We gather on Maundy Thursday at 7 p.m. for a simple service of confession, word, and communion. On this holy night, we remember the sacrifice of Jesus’ life for the world.

 

Good Friday

Ascension is invited to worship with one of our Willow Road neighbors:

 

Northfield Community Church, 7:00 p.m.

Join us at 6:00 p.m. for a pasta and salad dinner (with vegetarian options). The dinner will be catered, and there will be a free-will offering to help cover the cost. (RSVPs for dinner not required but appreciated. RSVPs can be made to ami@ascension-church.org.)

St. James the Less Episcopal Church, 7:00 p.m.

There will be no worship at Ascension on Good Friday.


Festival of the Resurrection, April 5

 We gather for joyous worship and the return of Alleluia at both 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. Easter Breakfast will feature freshly-made Swedish Pancakes with lingonberries and sausage. (A gluten-free option will also be offered.) Breakfast will be served from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. Children will assemble on the front lawn for the Easter Egg Hunt at 10:00 a.m.
